Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions about WARDOGS.
What is WARDOGS?
WARDOGS is a combined-arms warfare FPS by Bulkhead, published by Team17: 100 players in three teams fight over randomized 2×2 km control zones set in derelict industrial mountains of Eastern Europe. Every life, you buy your loadout with cash that persists between matches. It enters Early Access on September 10, 2026 at $39.99 on Steam.
Is WARDOGS free to play?
No. WARDOGS is a paid game: $39.99 at Early Access launch, with a $49.99 Supporter Edition, and the developer has stated the price rises to $59.99 at the 1.0 release. No free-to-play mode has been announced.
Is WARDOGS coming to PS5, Xbox or Game Pass?
There is no console announcement yet — Early Access launches on PC via Steam on September 10, 2026. Our console and crossplay status page tracks PS5, Xbox, Game Pass and crossplay, and is updated the moment anything is confirmed.
Does WARDOGS have anti-cheat?
Yes — WARDOGS uses Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) with a kernel-level driver. If the game fails to launch or you see an anti-cheat error, our fixes guide walks the safe repair ladder: verify game files, reinstall the EAC service, and check firewall and antivirus rules.
What makes WARDOGS different from other shooters?
The bank. Cash persists between matches, every death costs you a repurchase, and surviving to the late-match tick refunds 90% of your loadout cost — so every engagement is a budget decision, not just a gunfight. 37 weapons and 21 vehicles are confirmed for Early Access.
